Linda
My question related to using BCC from the e-mail address book. Can this be
done by simple mail-merge?.I have several mailing lists. I was thinking of
personalizing them with a mail merge. What I don't know is how to mail
merge a mailing list from an address book. That's why I thought of Outlook.
By the way my Office is XP

Errol

Yes, Errol, you can do this...but you don't do it in Outlook, you do it in
Word...just do a mail merge in Word and choose to have it send an email
instead of create a document...but I have to tell you that this feature
works well in Office XP, but stinks in Office 2000 (full of bugs) and I
can't even remember if it was available in Office 97.

So, if you are using an earlier version of Office, I would recommend you NOT
do it...but in Office XP, I use it all the time and it works great

PLEASE EVERYBODY....ALWAYS INCLUDE THE VERSION OF THE PROGRAM YOU ARE USING
WHEN YOU POST QUESTIONS....this will make it MUCH easier to answer.

Hi All=0D
I thought of a neat feature to have in e-mail programs and wondered (&
hoped) that it was possible with Outloook. Is there any way of doing=20
mail-merge" from an address book in Outlook? My idea is to use BCC to
address the e-mail and have the name of the addressee automatically
implanted in the message by Outlook. Preferably WITHOUT using Word as the
editor for e-mail.=0D
I know it's a long shot but the idea seems good.=0D
