True...it's faster, well unless you write tons of forms and have macro
keys you use all the time! Wink!

Nope....I checked it after you told me and all it does is clear the
field....leaves the properties in tact

I always use the lock button while I'm working on fields and setting
properties...since it's the quickest way to test the field....I only use
the protection in the Tools menu when I'm all done and want to protect
it and add a password
