Subject: [mso] File recovery -Word2000

Word auto-saves documents to a recovery file.
The recovery file should be opened as a file noted as (recoverd)
automatically when Word is restarted.
Some of these recovery files seem to be in whatever folder that is the
current 'file save' folder.
Sometimes on restart after a crititcal error shutdown, word will restart the
recovered file and somtimes it does not.
How can I force a recovery of a file found outside of Word restart process?
I. E. Point to the file and ask for a recovery. The normal open function
displays garbage.
