[mso] Excel Xp and a formula!

Hi All,
If I have an excel sheet with names that I have to add each day and in a
corresponding cell add in their phone numbers etc is there some way that
excel could associate the number of the person I have just typed in and
add it into the corresponding cell without me having to do it manually.
For example, Cell a1 there is a name and in cell b1 I wish to add the
phone number of that person, can excel automatically add in the number
according to the persons name I have just typed?.
