[mso] Re: Excel Subtotals

I thought that would work but when I do it, it doesn't.

I have subtotals in 3 rows with is the sum of about 70 rows.

When highlight and copy the 3 rows and paste, the result is 73 rows. 3 rows
for subtotals and 70 original rows.

The only thing I want in my new spreadsheet is the 3 rows summing the 70.

Here's the actual problem, maybe I'm going about it the wrong way.

I have data that needs to be refreshed routinely but it's not linked. The
refresh is done by a cut and paste.

I have a worksheet that references the 3 subtotals which is the worksheet
provided to the boss.

In order to do the cut/paste, I have to remove the subtotals (among other
things) which causes my referring worksheet to display REF! in the field and
I have to re-link the cell with the value I need.

My objective of course is a way to get the referring worksheet maintain the
formula while I manipulate the data sheet.

/g

Glenda-
Yes. Copy the data, then use Paste Special>Values to paste it into the new
worksheet.

Hi. Is there anyway to copy just the values of a subtotal result into a new
worksheet?

Thanks. /g
