Hi... I'm trying to do some programs to alter some of the way the VB IDE
editor works... well not to alter but just to add some things really. At the
moment I'm working on - and it's taking me a loooong time but I'm learning
lots of stuff :-) - a cross reference for variables. This is coming from the
idea that i have a lot of Dims in there that aren't doing much just because
I'm lazy so I wanted something to comment them out.

It's actually quite interesting but i got to wondering, not that I'm good
enough to do anything about it, what things others would like to see in the
editor or what annoys them.

Here's my list so far along with my brothers...

Editor Wishlist

Sorting definitions. Dims etc
Sorting or changing the order of procedures
Deleting or commenting non used definitions ? Sort of a limited Code Cleanup
Key shortcuts to - Go to the next/last capital letter, Go to Next BookMark,
Toggle BookMark, Comment/Uncomment, End Run mode
Watch Window - Export & Import
Running - Step? Wait a bit ? Step? Wait a bit?. Instead of pressing F8,
Write to a history file like dbase used to.
Try and put the Running line a bit further up the window rather than in the
middle.

All I have so far is a procedure to dump an indented proc to a new document
showing lines for indentation and one to sort Dims/Const. They're pretty
limited and raw but anyone is welcome to them.

A major reason I started this is also that I know there are a lot of
programs out there that do some great things. VBACodePrint is just awesome!!
But I'm on a *very* limited budget and most of that stuff is just too
expensive.

Anyway... Out of interest... would anyone like to add to this list.

Regards
Lisa
