So I guess this leads me to another question. Is there a way in Excel to
return the modulus (remainder) of division? Other than creating a function?

Where 19 MOD 11 = 8

Yep, VBA does but when you're doing formulas in a cell, you're dealing
with legacy Excel stuff dating back to the Excel 5 macro language, some
of them earlier and all are remnants of the old XLM system.
