Kathie,
A simple thing to do would be to have 2 worksheets; enter your names and
address into several of the cells (use cell protection to control which
cells to use) on one sheet.
Create a macro which cuts the cells, and then inserts a row at the top of
the other sheet and then pastes into the new row.
Run the macro via a button or keystroke each time you enter a dancer

Subject: [mso] Dialog box for inputing info into Excel

We have a dance coming up that will draw about 300 people from a pretty big
radius. I'd like to capture the names, numbers, email addresses of
participants in a door prize on a laptop for the purpose of following up
later with programs we will offer that will be of interest to these
attendees. The laptop doesnt have access and I don't much like that program
anyway. I'd like to use Excel, but I'm not happy about the idea of lack of
privacy--will the last guy in line see everyone else's name and number?

I'm wondering if there is a way to get a dialog box to pop up and get the
information and then store it in Excel. Any leads on this? If it is
possible, is it idiot proof? If it isn't idiot proof, how do I go about
finding someone who can write the script for me?

Could this be something that I do in html, but the thing lives on the
laptop, not the internet, as access to the internet is unlikely?

The laptop is a pc and has the student edition of MS Office on it. If it
doesn't yet have FrontPage, I may buy a license for that and take it off at
the end of the evening. The laptop will be loaned, so I'd rather not have
to put too much foreign stuff on it (but I WILL need FrontPage later, I
hope)

Thanks in advance for any wisdom you all are able to share,

Kathie
