I am using Excel. Wow, the fact that it will work mm/yyyy was +not+
mentioned in anything I have. Thank you.

Robert,

I don't know which application you are using, but if it is either Access
or
Excel and the only thing entered for the date is mm/yyyy, the first is
automatically assumed as the rest of the date. (You can check this by
temporarily changing the date format of the field. Just use the
DateDiff
function and you should get a relatively close result.

Subject: [mso] Custom Date difference :VSMail mx4

Does anyone know how to date the difference between two +similar+ dates?
I.e., in the format m/d/YYYY, I can obtain the difference between two
dates.

What if the entire date is not known?

Suppose the date of birth is given has 3/1905 (March, 1905), and the
death given as 10/1999 (Oct 1999)? I would like to get the difference.
Is there a way to obtain the difference, or should I make a "fictitious"
day (say the 15th) and change that to 3/15/1905 and 10/15/1999 and then
obtain the difference? Or is there an easier way to get the difference
with only Year and Month is known?

Avoid VBA please, I am not familiar with it.

Thank you.

Robert
