[mso] Cross post: Multiple Office applications running? Office XP

I am cross posting this inquiry with another group.
Lately, when I open Outlook XP (or Word XP, Excel XP, etc.) several
copies appear to load and run. If I do a Ctrl-Alt-Del and examine the
applications currently running (I just did now), I see FOUR Outlooks
running.
I ran NAV and it claims I am clean. I also ran SpyBot, it removed one
item, but did not resolve the issue of multiple loadings. Does anyone
know why this happening? I bet it is a memory destroyer, and I would
like to just run one copy of what I choose to run. Any suggestions?
Thank you,
Robert Carneal
