Would sub-totals work for you?
Another thing, if you gave each family a unique ID you could count on
that. (example: first 4 of last&first3 of first&last4 of phone&last3 of
zip) I would be wellsgle8036723

I'm doing a list of sign-ups of young people again. I'd like to
calculate how many families are sending their kids. Some are sending
one kid, others are sending two or more. I'm thinking that I can figure
this out if there is a formula that will count the number of unique
entries in the address cells or even the surname cells (but not so much
in a small town). Is there a way to do this? Am I clear?
Office XP with the Service Packs.
