Paul,

Maks sure when you create your AutoCorrect entry that you click the radio
button, Formatted Text, in the Replace with option.  In other words,
1.  Create the entries you want changed i.e., Mc1(assume the 1 is subscript
formatted).

2.  Select the text created above.

3.  Click tools, AutoCorrect

4.  In the Replace field type how you want to type your entry.  Make it
easy, such as mc1.

5.  Click the radio button, Formatted Text.

6.  Click add.

Do the above steps for all the entries you normally use.  When you type the
text and then type a space, punctuation, etc., the AutoCorrection will
occur.
