Use Insert > Field and then choose the appropriate DATE field you need,
which allows you to make the modifications to the date that you need.

Subject: [mso] Re: Auto-dating in Word with Dashes, not dots or slashes (MS
Word 2003)
Hi there,
I have a macro that auto formats every Word document that I have.
In the older version of Word, when I auto-dated the document, the date had
dashes.
This newer version of Word does not show a format with dashes (-).
I am doing this under Insert/Date & Time. I
Is there a way to auto date a document with the dashes instead of the
slashes or periods?
Thanks
Gaynel
