I can't remember which versions let you do this, but I believe it was
available in Outlook 2000 .... If you open up your addressbook, and double
click on any contact, there *should* be a checkbox in there that says
something like "plain text only" .... I can't remember exactly how it's
worded or where it is cuz it was removed in Outlook 2002 (I believe), so I
haven't seen it in a while.

Maybe someone who's still using 2000 might be able to give you more specific
instructions. Good luck.

Subject: [mso] Auto control HTML - Plain text, possible?

Under Outlook 2000, can I select which email addresses to use plain text,
and which to use HTML? I.e., I open Outlook and click "New." It starts off
as HTML. But after I enter mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx in the "To:" field, it changes
to Plain Text. Possible? Perhaps an addin does this?

My problem is I need HTML for several groups, and sometimes in the course of
speed I forget to change to Plain Text before sending an email to a plain
text group.

Thanks.

Robert
