Nope...that should have worked. But, it's possible you don't have IE setup
to view animations?

In IE, go to Tools>Internet Options and click on the Advanced tab...then
scroll down thru that list to the Multimedia section and see if Play
Animations in Web Pages is checked.

Well, duhhh..I just realized if you DIDN'T have that checked, the animation
wouldn't be playing on my page either LOL..sorry bout that

How bout you send us a link to the page so we can see if it animates for us?

You are sure you saved it as a gif, right? And you're sure the path to it
is pointing to the place where you have the picture located in your online
web, right?

Subject: [mso] Adding Animated Graphic to Web FrontPage

In Linda's newest issue of ABC, there is a section titled "A Collection
of Holiday Animated GIFs ~ from Frank Gunther". I did as her
instructions said (right-click, then Save Picture As, and saved the
graphic to my hard drive). Then in FrontPage 2000, I opened the web
page I wanted to use it on, did Insert | Picture | From File, selected
the newly saved animated gif file, saved the html page, then uploaded
the gif and the html page. But where the animated gif should display I
only have an empty space.

Never having used animated graphics on a web before, I'm wondering if
there's something to be done differently or in addition to what I do for
non-animated graphics.

Thanks for any help.

Diane
