Thanks Anthony - that's exactly what I was hoping to hear. -----Original Message----- From: Colli, Anthony G [mailto:Anthony.Colli@xxxxxxx]=20 Sent: Thursday, June 12, 2003 11:49 AM To: mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [mso] Re: Access 2000 and 2002 Elise- Access 2002 can open Access 2000 files without converting the files to Access 2002 format. When creating a file in Access 2002 you have the option of creating it as 2000 or 2002. An Access 2002 file cannot be recognized by Access 2000. We have a mixed Access environment too. In Access 2002 you can select Tools->Options->Advanced there is a drop down to select the default file format, set it to 2000. -Anthony -----Original Message----- From: Elise Miller [ mailto:emiller@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, June 12, 2003 10:10 AM To: mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [mso] Access 2000 and 2002 Hi folks, We have a client with a large Access DB that has recently been upgraded from 97 to 2000. Some of the users now have new computers with Access 2002 installed. Does anyone know if Access 2000 and 2002 are interoperable? When the DB was in the 97 version, no one could use Access 2000 because it would corrupt the DB. I'm wondering if that's going to be the same if we try to have some users on 2000 and some on 2002. The back end of the DB is in 2000. Thanks, Elise ************************************************************* You are receiving this mail because you subscribed to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or MicrosoftOffice@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To send mail to the group, simply address it to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To Unsubscribe from this group, send an email to=20 mso-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word "unsubscribe" (without the quotes) in the subject line.
