Arcelious Eugene Flanagan born March 14, 1923 in Waskom, TX to Alice Gillespie and Eugene Flanagan passed away on February 14, 2015 at Dimondale Nursing Home. Rev. Flanagan retired from the State of Michigan School for the Blind where he worked faithfully for 27 years. He was the former pastor of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church and past Associate Minister at Union Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by: his mother and father; his sister Roberta "Taddie" Hanes; his brothers, Eugene "Gene" Flanagan and Bailey Flanagan; daughter, Marcelious "Molly" Flanagan; sons, Stanley McMillian and Joseph "Joe" McMillian. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife and companion of 50 years, Emma Louise Streeter of Lansing; his sons Michael Flanagan of Lansing, Robert "Bobby" (Linda) Flanagan of California, and Clifford McMillian of Lansing; his daughters Dorothy "Dottie" Reynolds of Grand Rapids, MI, and Marsha Woolard of Lansing; grandchildren Dawn "DeeDee" (Orlando) Todd of Holt, MI, Wendy Duke-Littlejohn of Lansing, Angela Pruitt of Lansing, and Jeffrey (Jennifer) Pruitt of Mason, MI whom he and his wife raised as their own children; 9 additional grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews; Son's in the Ministry; friends; and a very special cousin Ozene Walker of California. Ministers of the Clergy and Friends may visit to provide words of encouragement and memories to the family of Rev. Flanagan on Friday, February 20, from 6pm-8pm at Union Missionary Baptist Church or visit Riley Funeral Home during 12Noon-4pm for a final viewing. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 21, 11:30am at Union Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. /Dr. Melvin T. Jones officiating. The family will receive friends at 11am (1/2 hr.) prior to the funeral. The family has asked that a donation, in lieu of Flowers, be sent in care of the Rev. A.E.
