BlankAs I recall, this was the original site at MSB.

Women's History Month: Rogers championed higher education . The Michigan
Female College was founded in Lansing in 1855 by Abigail Rogers. She
dedicated her life to the admission of women into the state's universities.
Daily sessions were held in the Capitol for two years until a permanent
building could be obtained. By 1867, Rogers had helped to educate more than
1,000 women from Michigan and nine other states. In 1870, Michigan
Agricultural College (now Michigan State University) admitted its first
female student. Source: Michigan Women's Hall of Fame
