Steve, it was an honor to have your picture up for nearly a year...only to
be replaced by Jessica, another of our original clubs members - so few that
are left.
The club probably would have folded had you not hung in there (I am
serious) and we would not have so many new friends - even if a few of them are
kind of a pain (I am kidding).
DON'T FORGET IN JUST 6 WEEKS WE HAVE THE FIRE DEPT 10K. I WILL NEED SOME
OF YOU TO HELP ME WITH THE RACE. ANYONE WHO HELPS (AND THEIR SPOUSE OR
KIDS) WILL BE INVITED TO RIDE ON A FIRE TRUCK IN THE HOLIDAY PARADE. WE HAD A
BLAST ON THE TRUCK LAST YEAR! IN FACT WE HAD A MEETING TODAY (Thnx to
Kathy Dahl who has offered to help out and be on the race committee and for
attending today) - I ASKED IF WE COULD PICK SOME RANDOM RUNNERS FROM THE RACE
TO RIDE THE FIRE TRUCK AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD BRING OUT YET ANOTHER FIRE
TRUCK IF WE NEED IT FOR ALL OF US TO RIDE ON IN THE PARADE. COOL STUFF
AND WE WILL HAVE A RACE "LEAD VEHICLE".
