All,
The Groom Creek races begin at the fire station on the corner of
Friendly Pines Road and Spur. To get to the race start from Gurley turn
SOUTH on Mt Vernon (the light at the top of the hill near Jack in the
Box) around 4.7 miles up, there is a RIGHT turn (west) onto Friendly
Pines Road, .5 miles later is the fire house and Spur.
If memory serves, ~.5 miles after Sky-Y camp the pavement ends, or close
to a mile after Friendly Pines Road.
Ken should provide information as to parking for the area he is
suggesting for the start of the run.
Julie and I will be unable to make it.
