For everyone who asks receives, and everyone who searches finds, and for everyone who knocks, the door will be opened." ~Luke 11:9-10 .=: M E D I T A T I O N F O R T H E D A Y :=. Persistence is necessary if we are to advance in spiritual things. By persistent prayer, persistent, firm and simple trust, we can achieve the treasures of the spirit. By persistent practice, we can eventually obtain joy, peace, assurance, security, health, happiness and serenity. Nothing is too great, in the spiritual realm for us to obtain, if we persistently prepare ourselves for it. .=: P R A Y E R F O R T H E D A Y :=. I pray that I may persistently carry out my spiritual exercises every day. A mother asks prayers for a special intention. Sherry requests prayers for all of our soldiers, especially for one who is still in the Middle East. Pat asks prayers for peace from a long held emotional hurt. Friends of the family ask prayers for a 19-year old who will undergo brain surgery on Monday to remove a tumor. Marilyn asks prayers for a special intention. Donna requests prayers for someone who is facing the possibility of colon cancer. Elizabeth asks prayers for her mother who is battling colon cancer and now under hospice home care. We pray for unity in our country and that we may build a Culture of Life. We pray for the safety of our troops, their safe return and their families at home. We pray for a deep and profound respect for life, and for the courage and willingness to stand up for life. We pray for one another, for those who have asked our prayers and for those who need our prayers the most. Have a good day! May God Bless you and those you love, and keep you safe!
