Subject: [molions] 26-M3 District Convention information and updates
In case you haven't heard our District Convention is April 1st - 2nd in Bowling
Green/St. Clement, MO.
Due to the heavy registrations we will start registration at the Super 8 Motel
on Friday at 3 pm and around 4 pm
move over to the convention site at the Knights of Columbus hall. PDG Allen
Kohler and PCC Pat and PDG Lyn Porterfield will
be helping with the registrations. Last day to have registrations received and
guarantee you have food is March 28th or email
to PDG Allen on Monday as we have to turn in our head counts to the caterers.
Registration will start on Saturday at 8 am and will continue until 11:15 am
and after lunch it will start up again around 12:30 pm
and will END at 2:15 pm. This gives all the Lions time to have their
credentials checked in time to vote.
Due to heavy demand of our raffle tickets and our Lions must feel lucky that
they are going to win we will have raffle tickets to purchase at the
registration table.
Visit with International Director Robert Libin will be at 3:30 pm.
Attached is our program where you can check out everything. The timing of all
the different parts of our convention.
Friday Amish tour meets at the Super 8 motel 3:45 pm and returns 5:15 pm. There
is still time to signup for the tour.
Clubs and Organizations who are having a table, hospitality tables and games
can get in to set up at 2 pm.
There are 8 foot straight tables and 5 foot tables that have 8 sides (which
might be good for games).
Clubs will need to bring their own ice. We will be needing your help with
cleaning up and setting up for Saturday.
Also Saturday night with cleaning up and putting everything away. We couldn't
do this without you!
We still need silent auction items. See IPDG John Clark. Lion Denny Rottger and
his wife Nancy will be handling the silent auction.
Lions bucks will be handed out Friday night and can be used to play games and
bid on Lions bucks auction items. Each bill
is worth one.
Attached are the registration form, program and map.
Final thought we ordered nice weather for the weekend! Hope to see you all
there and Happy Easter!
Lion Sandy McCann, PDG
