Hi Roger,
If no one claims it, your neighbour could give this layout to Salvation Army
or another kids' charity - it would make a great gift for a less fortunate
kid on Christmas morning. That would be a lot better than scrapping it. Your
local model railway club might be interested in cleaning it up and adding
some rolling stock before giving it to a kid as well.
