Are you sure of the dates, 20 -21 July next year fall on Friday and
Saturday, should the dates be 21-22 July.

Guildford has usually been around the middle of July - say near 15th as far
as possible. Following a couple of clashes of dates with Guilfest, this
year's event was brought forward to 8/9 July - specifically to miss
Guilfest, which was held the following week-end.
I didn't buy a programme this year, so can't say for certain what date next
year's Steam Rally will be on.

Ron,
I can't say for sure, not being a Guildford member, but isn't it
traditionally the second weekend in July? It was 8th & 9th this year, but
since the 1st is a Sunday I suppose they could opt for 7th/8th or 14th/15th.
