In fact, I have had to reduce the size of the photos, as the problem was that I was over my allotted space on the server. Hopefully the photos will now be OK. alan@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx www.alanstepney.info Model Engineering, Steam Engine, and Railway technical pages. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Wilfried Vermeiren" <vermeiren.wilfried@xxxxxxxxx> To: <modeleng@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, September 21, 2004 6:02 PM Subject: [modeleng] Re: Amberley Hi Alan, Did only have time to look at part of the pic's of Amberley but over there you sure know how to hold a steam event. Perhaps moving would be an idea. On the matter of pic's on the net may I suggest you bring them down in size to 640/400 as this would only be 93.5kb compared to the 800/600 which is 246kb. Much quicker to load, And with the settings of most browsers it fits straight onto the screen. No need to scroll up or sideways. It also saves a lot of space in your part of the www. I found that the internet is a fast place where everyone is in a hurry and no one is sitting waiting for a picture to load. Seems strange as the only thing which all computer have in common is the speed at which they wait.
