I was lucky enough to have a couple of days firing and driving Garrats in
Zimbabwe, they are huge beasts and great fun.

The local Historical Railway Society here in Canberra has a full size 60
class Beyer Garratt which the have finally found some funding to return it
to service. They originally planned to have it back in service by the year
2000 but I believe that the donated funding was withdrawn after some
disagreements within the society.
There are 2 5inch gauge versions under construction locally that I know
off.
