Hmmm. Not that I know of. Most of the sound designers got excited about nice
orchestral libraries when they had a lot of space for large high quality
sounds. That was when they could produce sounds that were a large improvement
over what is built in, not just a little step up. The ES isn't top knotch
orchestrally, but things like strings and winds are pretty damn good.

The XS gave 1GB of memory to work with. You can do a lot with that, though it
takes some long ass time like 40 minutes to load all of that in.

There is a big one coming for the XF that uses all 2GB of flash. Of course,
that means that it is one of those situations where you load it up, and it
takes over your whole board. You basically load that in if you plan to be doing
lots of that sort of music. You can, of course, switch it out when you're
working on other projects, but loading 2GB in to flash memory takes over an
hour, so you don't want to switch back and forth all of the time.

If you just want a few voices, though, you can just load them in. Like, if you
want the better strings, you can load the strings voices in to a slot in your
user banks, and still keep all of your other voices/samples. You don't have to
load in the entire library, though you can, if you want.

Subject: [MoAccess] orchestra libraries

Hello,

I know Bryan said there are orchestra sample libraries for the motif xs, but
are there any for the es?

Thanks.
