I did the update,"  now how do I know it was done successfully???????

What part of that question you don't understand.
Where can I tell a sighted person go to find out if its v1.06?????

And I told you. It takes time, and after a while, just restart the keyboard.
About 20 to 30 minutes or so.

Please read the file that goes with the update... Wait about 20 minutes or
so before turning the unit off. There is no indication as to when its
done.
If you have sighted help, all the better. Please be careful. The document
says that it takes 15 minutes, but I would give it longer just to be on
the
safe side. If you turn it off in the middle, you could brick your board,
and
that's not good.
