OVERVIEW: The PharmaSUG 2006 Academic Venue will be bigger and better
than ever!  In 2006 there will be more sections and more parallels.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION DEADLINE: December 5, 2005

PRESENTATION LENGTH: Coder's Corner presentations are 10 minutes in
total length. All other paper presentations are 20 minutes in length,
unless specifically designated as 50 minutes by the Section Chair.
Within the 20 and 50-minute presentations, 5 minutes are allowed for
questions and answers.
 Posters presenters stand by their posters at designated times during
the conference to take questions about their posters.

PAPER LENGTH: There is a limit of twenty one-sided pages for a 50-minute
presentation, twelve one-sided pages for a 20-minute presentation/Poster
and eight one-sided pages for a Coder's Corner presentation.

WORKING DRAFT: A working draft of your paper (minimum one page) must be
submitted along with your abstract for your submission to be considered.

FINAL PAPER DEADLINE: February 13, 2006.

Applications Development presents programs, systems, utilities, and/or
any productivity tool developed with SAS software, plus an overview of
the code and techniques used in the development process.

Coder's Corner quickly covers creative SAS programming ideas and code
including tips, techniques, tricks, productivity tools, useful
algorithms, and undocumented features.

Data Management provides an in-depth look into the many aspects of data
manipulation and database management using SAS software.

Epidemiology, Health Economics & Outcomes Research presents SAS
solutions to current issues in these fields.

FDA Compliance - Electronic Submission & Validation addresses the many
facets of electronic regulatory submissions (NDAs, BLAs, etc.) to FDA
and other regulatory agencies and validating your SAS programs or
systems.

Hands-on Workshops offers interactive workshops presented by invited
speakers.
By invitation only.

Management is a new section for 2006 and provides a broad range of
topics and issues facing programmers, consultants, executives and
front-line supervisors in today's ever changing pharmaceutical and
bio-tech industries.  Topics include recruiting and retention,
programming metrics, temporary work force challenges, interpersonal
interactions, quality control vs. meeting commitments, tips for new
managers, etc.

Posters address a variety of SAS-related topics in poster board form
rather than as a formal lecture.

Statistics & Pharmacokinetics offers innovative statistical methods,
applications of statistics in clinical trials, and techniques for
efficient data analysis using SAS software.

Technical Techniques covers specific SAS software techniques that can be
utilized for problem solving, system development, output delivery
solutions, or any other area of technical interest.

Tutorials provides in-depth explanations of a wide range of topics
utilizing SAS for users at all levels of expertise with specific "how-
to" tools to access, manage, analyze, and present data effectively and
efficiently.
