Dairy and beef, the homestead cow provides good food for the family and to=
sell. And, oxen can supply draft power needs on the homestead or small
farm. We discuss home dairying, cooking with milk, making milk products
(cheese, yogurt, kefir, butter, ice cream, soap, etc.), and raising cattle=
for
beef or oxen on a small farm scale.
Come here to discuss keeping one cow or a few cows on small farms or
homesteads. Discussion of animal husbandry, health, feeding, and training
issues or problems is welcome.
Sales related to cattle, dairy, beef, and oxen, are allowed on Fridays.
