Dear Birders,
Despite the MSU home football game (early kickoff at 11 am) and it being
Labor Day weekend, we will conduct our monthly Oktibbeha Audubon Society's
birdwalk. Remember it occurs the 1st Saturday of every month.
I would actually like to walk more within the Noxubee NWR in this event.
Let's start by meeting at the check-in station located across the street
from the Bluff Lake boardwalk. I propose that we stroll down River Road
for up to 1 mile to search for migrants. It may be a little early, but
this road can be a good place to find migrant warblers, etc. After that,
we can scout the lake and/or move to another area to walk some more.
Prepare for the heat - hats and drinks are a good idea. Bug repellent too.
