Hi Everyone,
We are pleased to inform you that Pench Tiger Reserve, Madhya Pradesh
in association with the Saving Tiger Society is going to organize a
workshop on human-animal interaction from 27th June to 29th June. In
today’s situation this issue has grabbed a lot of attention and acted
as an obstacle in proper management of the park. Keeping these entire
situation in mind, it is mandatory that the human dimension in
wildlife resource (HDWR) management becomes incorporated into the
decision making process and the importance of it is that HDWR helps to
understand how to involve people in the conservation process. All of
us more or less face the similar issues in our respective field sites
and time calls for an immediate action. This intensive and interactive
workshop offers an applied introduction to the field on Human
Dimensions in Biodiversity Management, which seeks to understand how
to work with people to achieve conservation. Participants will explore
how human behaviours affect the success of conservation efforts, and
will come away with practical strategies for creating a successful,
consensus-based approach to conservation land management. Drawing on
his international experience, Dr. Alistair Bath will introduce Human
Dimensions research and will guide workshop participants through the
application of the Human Dimensions approach to conflict resolution
and consensus building for successful resolution of human, wildlife
and land use conflict challenges.

effective solution standing at this crossroad. The workshop will be
taking place in Turiya Conference Hall, near Turiya Gate, Pench Tiger
Reserve, Madhya Pradesh. We will be providing the logistic support in
terms of food and accommodation and also certificates will be
