*Purpose of Department /team: *The Climate Change Centre of Excellence
performs macro and investment research covering climate science, policy,
industries and markets across the globe. The team in Bangalore works
closely with on-shore analysts based in London / HK and supports them in
executing research.
*Job Description*
As an integral member of the Climate Change team in the Global Research
division, the individual would be required to provide a variety of research
support including modeling, analysis and report writing services to onshore
members of the team. Key activities to be executed are:
· Undertake detailed policy and country specific research in climate
change domain
· Analyse the impact of climate regulations on various industries
/sectors and asset classes
· Undertake assessment of the size of climate economies across
various geographies
· Explore how carbon risk and prices can be integrated with other
sector research
· Develop and implement a strategy to integrate climate change into
other sector and asset class research and country risk framework
· Perform analysis that underpins the Low Carbon Finance strategy of
the bank
· Report Writing - Industry thematic, policy reviews, country
specific reports
· Handle client queries
*Skills/Experience Required*
*The candidate must have *
· Degree in economics / carbon management / MSc or PhD in climate
change or environmental sciences
· Around 1-3 years of experience preferably in climate /
environmental research
· CFA would be an added advantage
