*Position for Project/ Research Assistant*
Applications are invited for one Project/ Research Assistant position at
IISER Tirupati for a project studying small mammal ecology and behaviour.
Field work will include small mammal capture, handling, and behaviour
observations in varying habitats (primarily in the Himalayas, with some
fieldwork elsewhere). Additional field work will include bird
capture/handling, habitat estimation, surveys and transects. Non-field work
will include analysis of behaviour videos and calls, morphometric analysis,
and some molecular analysis. Candidates with field work experience, and
prior experience with animal handling and/or behaviour observations are
ideal for the post.
