Dear colleagues.
I would like to draw your attention to the following call:
*Robert Bosch Junior Professorship 2017* - *"Research into the Sustainable
Use of Renewable Natural Resources"*
The call is directed to outstanding young scientists who wants to find new
approaches to clarify and tackle global challenges with regard to the
sustainable use of natural resources. The research should focus on
developing and emerging countries. The foundation expects that research
results contribute to the solution of urgent environmental problems and to
the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) formulated by
the United Nations.
*Scope and criteria:*
- 1,000,000€ award for funding period up to 5 years
- own research group shall be set up in a German university or research
institute of own choice
- funds may be flexibly used for: own or personnel salary and research costs
- earliest possible starting date for the position: 1st March 2017
- *Deadline *for application:
* 2nd May 2016 **Candidate profile:*
- excellent doctoral degree
- completed no more than 5 years prior to application deadline (with
adjustments for documented parental leaves)
- compelling independent past scientific achievements and publications in
peer-reviewed journals
- international research experience
- excellent proficiency in English
- non-German applicants should be prepared to learn German
