The 2016 Elizabethton Butterfly Count will be held Saturday, August 06,
starting at 9:00 AM in the parking lot in front of the Visitor Center at
Sycamore Shoals State Park. We will count in and near the park through the
morning. Bring your lunch for a picnic at the picnic shelters behind the
swimming pool, after which we will carpool to Holston Mountain. No special
knowledge or experience is required, all are welcome. Comfortable walking
shoes and sun hats are recommended. Close-focusing binoculars will greatly
enhance the experience. Any questions can be directed to me anytime, both
