Plus in the VoiceOver Utility program, which can be run with CMD+F8, in the
categories after visual effects, there comes the possibility to configure the
behaviour of the trackpad. This might be worth investigating. You can even
configure the gestures. I’m not sure how this category after visual effects is
called on a english Mac OS and haven’t played a lot with the trackpad. But I
found that sometimes it allows me to click on something or reach a portion of
the screen which is otherwise not possible with the keyboard commands of
VoiceOver.

Holding down the shift key while using cursor movement selects or highlights
when using the Mac. Command C copies, Command X cuts and Command V pastes, as
per standard. I don’t know if this willl work exactly the same way if you’re
selecting elements of a webpage or E-mail, though. Hope this helps.

Hi everyone is it wishful thinking to hope that there is the text selection
option on the mac’s trackpad, as on the iPhone? How much easier would things
be to turn the roter on the trackpad and flick up and down to select words,
caracters, and lines, and then to flick right and left to select the text
you want.
Of course I also wonder if this is not possible on the mac, can it be done
by assigning commands to the trackpad?
