Hi - I'm referring to the speed at which text is read. In JAWS settings range on a scale 0-100% and numeric (say, 92 or 105) which can easily translate to any JAWS user. VO uses a similar scale with percentages (I currently have mine set at 79%). In JAWS it's usually referred to as rate - same in VO. I just need to figure out a way to relate the VO rate to JAWS as VO doesn't get into as much detail. Ie. are there any JAWS users who were at 75% or 123 rate/verbosity setting that have found comparable settings on a mac?

Hi Jeanette, in terms of Verbosity in VO, compared to JAWS, not really sure what you're asking here, explain further?

Hey folks -
I don't know if there's a known conversion tracker but I'm trying to
figure out how to relate a JAWS-user's verbosity preference to what's
available in VO. Can someone help answer my burning question?
I've got a user who is at 123 in JAWS (75% she says) - can she get the equivalent in VO? I know that I am/was a JAWS 95-105 user and can get an equivalent in VO but with my mac at home and not being good at that
kind of comparison....VO users help!
Also what's the best way to access footnotes? Can one accomplish this
in Open Office? I don't have my mac with me right now so I can't
answer this question off the top of my head.

Thank you loverly people,

Jeanette
