What you are seeing is the voiceover cursor. The dots 7 and 8 are showing the
part that is actually in the voiceover cursor. You can turn this off; I usually
do. Go into voiceover utility control-option-f8 andunder the braille category
and in the layout tab uncheck use dots 7 and 8 to indicate voiceover cursor.
That will get rid of the line of dots 7 and 8.
