I have found with Spell Check in Texteditand Mail that sometimes one needs to toggle the spell checker a couple of times (COMMAND+;) before it gets focus. I also find, especially in Mail where I have it set to come on automatically as I send each message, it will be focussed on the misspelled word but will not say it so I need to do a SayLine (VO+L) to hear it.

Command semicolon brings up the spell-check in Text Edit. However, I can't seem to route my VO cursor (or any other cursor) to the right window.
