[macvoiceover] setting up mail account

Listers,
I am fairly new to the list and the mac. I have managed to find the mail
account set up facility, and followed the dialogue. When I go into mail and
the 'in box' I am asked for my password. I key in the one I set up, but it
does not accept it. I already have a pop3 account on my windows machine,
and a router box for more than one computer connection. I have plugged into
this and I have an internet connection no probs, so do I need to set up a
pop3 account on the mac?
