Hi Reese & all,

I have an iMac and absolutely love it! There's no tower, everything is built into the monitor, so there are fewer cables to worry about. It's quiet, boots up very quickly and is just a pleasure to use. Mine came with 2 GB of RAM, but I upgraded it to 4 GB. It has a 320 GB hard drive and an INtel core 2 Duo processor running at 2.66 GHz.

It takes up very little space on my desk, and it's just a great all around machine!

If you want something portable, of course, then the MacBook Pro is probably a good choice.

So for the sake of your budget then, have a look at the macbook pro line up found at:

for a well fitting portable solution. if you want a desktop model, get the fastest processor, as much hd and ram as you can get in an imac found here:
http://www.apple.com/imac
if your desk is cramped and you want a desktop, see how the imac stacks up to the mac mini at:

Happy hunting and let us know what you decide or if you have further questions.

Hi once again list:

I currently use my system for email, web surfing, watching DVD's and burning
audio music and data, word processing, streaming audio and skype.

I need the ability to access word documents for reading and creating

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Reese,

First of all, what do you use your computer for, in other words, what
do you plan to do with it.
