I'm not seeing that behavior with control key saying control; but I have modifier keys speaking off, so that's as it should be. Also, the behavior where speech does not shut up after one press of the control key is very intermittant. Often, it works as it should, but not always and I can't find a pattern. I really don't like all the extra interacting in email if you don't use the preview pane or on the www. Also, I'm finding that tab behavior on some websites can be flakey. I.E. you're in a website html area and hit tab, and many times tab doesn't seem to know you're in the html area and skips to a safari control. Again, it seems inconsistent, but I've had it happen on blind bargains and macrumors, just to name a couple that come immediately to mind. INconsistency is what I'd say is the hall-mark of the latest vo for the Mac. I hope it gets cleaned up in an update that we won't have to wait too long for.
