Hi all, Mark is correct, but it might be that you might need to be in
column view for what david describes to happen, because I use list
view, and when I interact twice with the downloads list, I hear
ticking, but in order to hear the status, I just need to interact once,
and if you press either vo right arrow, or vo left arrow, you'll hear
the status of the download change, as I downloaded and ran the combo
updater last night.

A second vo shift down arrow continuously announces the status.

A second VO shift down arrow will commence clicking. If you stop
that level of interaction the clicking will go away and you'll be back

to the status level, as I call it. You're right, they're not
simultaneous, but what would be the point of such simultaneity?
