That’s the thing, there is no .band file, when he sent it to me it showed up as
a folder full of subfolders, not a .band file. Ever experienced this happening?
I can’t find any reference to it on line, so I have no clue how it was
generated.
Here’s how it comes across:
My Guy shared a folder in Drive.
In that folder there is a folder for song.band.
In the song.band folder there are folders for media, output, and contents.
In the media folder I found an aiff file, which seems to be what he recorded.
Fortunately the aiff file has the complete version of what he recorded, seems
like I can work with that as an audio file, I just can’t open his project like
it was one of my own.

folders, and eventually in a folder labelled media I found the aiff file.
My guitarist is a busy school principal, so I don’t want to push him too
much for an explanation or to try different things. Playing around, it looks
like he recorded at a steady tempo, maybe even to the click track at the
tempo I suggested, so I think I can just treat it like a region and add some
percussion to it.

what I can do with it. It was recorded in Garage Band, I have the MP3 he
exported, and he also shared the project with me through Google Drive.
When I open what he shared in Drive, thre is a folder, and then a bunch of

downloaded to m computer and was able to open in Garage Band, but it seems
to be behaving just like the MP3, an audio file with no other information.

Any suggestions on how to go about this?
