Wow. Once again, this seems to fix a lot of issues of late I’ve been
hearing about. I should have mentioned that too.

I ended up resetting all the voiceover settings again and that fixed it.

No problem. It’s worked for me in situations like that in the past.
That’s why I mentioned it. Hopefully, it gets fixed quickly.

I did try that but it doesn’t seem to be helping. Sorry, I thought I put
that in my previous post but it doesn’t look like I did.

Did you try forcing the cursors to join as I explained in my previous
message. That might be a work around.

I actually just contacted Apple’s accessibility department and they told
me this has been reported as a known issue and they are working to
resolve it. It does not happen on every Mac so some people are not
experiencing it at all but there are people who are. Just wanted to let
everyone know that update. In case y’all experience it like I am.

If this is happening in all text fields you can try pressing
VO-Command-F5 and then VO-Shift-Spacebar. Then try typing. I’m wondering
if something in VO navigation settings has gone wrong.

Have you restarted VoiceOver or restarted the Mac since updating? I
have not encountered that issue here on my end with two different

Hi List,
I updated to OS 14.2.1 on my Mac and have noticed the following
issue. Voiceover no longer lets me type into anything such as Safari,
Microsoft teams, or any text Fields. When I do type, VO is acting as
if quick NAV is on but it is not. Has anyone else experienced this
issue or know of a possible workaround?
