Ian,
I, always, reboot after an install. I’m a wonderful & knowledgeable guy. LOL.
Sounded so smug, I had to make fun of myself.
Seriously, I was a programmer for years & I learned to just shut the darn’d
thing down & reboot when it starts acting stupid. Doesn’t always fix it, but
it rules out those type of gremlins.
My wife works with a guy, who’s a technical expert. His answer to every
problem @ her fortune 100 defense contractor is, “did you shut it down &
restart?” Good enough for him, good enough for me.
Best wishes,
CJ

Isn’t anomaly a fun and descriptive word? Thanks for the suggestion, a full
reboot did indeed fix the problem.

Ditto,
Works for me, as well. Ian, sounds like an anomaly native to something on
your machine. Have you done a cold boot, since your install?
Best of luck,
CJ

Hello list, until the latest update to OS 11.1 of Big Sur VO shift M
brought up a context menu on dock items. This was pretty handy, especially
for jumping straight to preference panes in System Preferences. It’s also
where the commands to keep an item in the dock or remove it were located.
As of now the context menu isn’t coming up, does anyone know if this has
changed or if it is ssomething broken.
The VO command space action items does bring up a menu, but none of the
items seems to do anything helpful in this case.
