[macvoiceover] Trackpad commander issue

Hello,
Does the trackpad commander equivalent of vo j work for all of you?
When I am interacting with the messages table in mail and press
control tap to go to the linked item, which in this case would be the
text of the message, if just doesn't work. Is this happening to anyone
else?
