Hi all!
Just in case you haven't noticed, the Mac Os installer by default installs all available languages to your hard drive, and there are quite a few of them. However, during the installation, on the same screen where the install button is also located there is a customice button that you can press. Here you can check and uncheck stuff like Rosetta, old Quick Time, printer drivers, etc... If you expand the column called Languages, you'll find all the languages that are available. If you uncheck all the ones that you don't speak anyway, that will give you some more additional gigs of free space. If you still need a certain language later, you can still install that.
Hth!
