Hi, list.
When working with Pages today, and trying to open the spell checker with
Command Shift semicolon, Pages immediately froze and would not respond. This
has happened the last few times I tried to spell-check, actually. I force-quit
the application. Immediately, the dinging noise I wrote about a few weeks back
commenced. It did not stop until I shut down the MacBook Air completely.
When I restarted it, VoiceOver came up after the boot-up, but I was unable to
enter my password until I shut VoiceOver off and restarted it. Only then was I
placed in the authentication window. This is very weird. I should say here that
I am running the very latest Monterey Mac OS.
So, I’ve solved one mystery, that of the annoying dinging noise, and gained
two: What the heck is wrong with SpellChecker in Pages, and what the heck is
going on at start-up with that annoying popcorn sound my typing makes until I
restart VoiceOver?
I’m amused and annoyed. But mostly amused.
Thoughts?
